The UK election is prompting some lovely creative mashups online that promote openness and honesty among the candidates.  Have a quick look at two that I really love

Create a poster advertising how your MP has voted recently with script in varying colours and sizes to show how they voted (moderately, strongly / for, against) key recent issues.

Just put in your postcode and off you go.  Here’s James Paice for my constituency of South-East Cambridgeshire.  His voting record shows he is anti hunting, didn’t turn up to vote on the Digital Economy Act, against ID cards, against equal gay rights and moderately in favour of laws to stop climate change.

And another that aims to keep all candidates honest about their printed leaflets The Straight Choice http://www.thestraightchoice.org asks you to photograph leaflets and submit them online.  It then enables you to view all leaflets for your postal area.

Here you can search in two ways

1 – recently updated shops waiting for their first sale

2 – Shops that just had a sale.

Perfect cross-promotion for both those starting out and those that are popular.
